Job Satisfaction Factors
Salary- Salary defines as the monetary benefit given to the employees by the employer. Employees mostly work with the expectation of rewards from the company. Employees look forward to sufficient payment for their work. Other than the main salary employees get other benefits such as overtime payments, bonuses, incentives, and other allowances as monitory payments. Payments need for humans to sustain a living and from sufficient payments employees feel satisfied. When employees work for a long time for the same organization, they expect more monetary benefits, including salary for their work. Therefore, salary can be determined as a first-rank factor that is considered a job satisfaction element (Kapur, 2018).
Promotion- According to Danish and Munir (2012) promotion can be identified as a shift from an existing job to a higher position with an increment of benefits. The movement of the employee becomes upward in the organization hierarchy. After entering a job employee expect promotion with their service to the company and expect respective benefits from the job. With promotions, employees get motivated and satisfied with the job. Many researchers have stated that promotion has strongly correlated with job satisfaction and promotion opportunities enhance employee intention to work for a long time.
Work Environment- The work environment is another factor that considers employee job satisfaction factor. First, employees seek better physical environmental conditions in a work environment that makes employees comfortable. Those conditions include office equipment, chairs, furniture, machines, tools, and other equipment.
Also, employees’ productivity level goes up when working environment conditions get better. Good working conditions make employees positive attitudes toward work. Employees feel working place as the home and employees can work very actively and flexibly (Kapur, 2018).
Importance of Job Satisfaction
According to Sirok and Sila (2018) growth and the success of the organizations depend on satisfying the employees of the organization. Employee satisfaction leads to the commitment of the employees and makes honesty of the employees towards the organization. Also, employee satisfaction enhances employee performance of the organization. Therefore, employees seek to work in a better work environment. With globalization effects and changes in the labor market employees need to update with knowledge related to their professional market and enhance their skills and work experience. This added advantage to the carrier development of the employees and enhance employee job satisfaction. Satisfied employees serve the best of the organization. And also, employees get high service demand from the organization with the best performance, and companies appreciate the work.
Certain benefits can obtain through employee satisfaction. According to that employee job, satisfaction employees are interested to stay a long time in the organization and enjoy what they do in the organization. Reducing employee turnover is creating a good image for the company. Employees who work with happiness come to work daily and reduce sick and late arrival the work. Employees who work with satisfaction typically take pride in the outcome and work more to work accurately and finish timely. Satisfied employees adjust to the problems and are willing to change and expect training when needed. Employees interact pleasant and make a positive experience and make what the company needs and help to earn a better return (Personnel Commission, 2018).
According to the writer, the selected hotel Kuda Rah has implemented and improved some areas to develop the employee turnover. With the effect of those factors they are able to maintain the job satisfaction of the staff. Hotel industry one of the methods that the hotels measure their competitiveness depend on to the online platforms. TripAdvisor, Booking.com, Agoda, Expedia, Google Review are some of the online platforms which helps to measure the competitiveness. Kuda Rah was able to get maximum amount of positive comments in these online platforms. It show the productivities has went up within the hotel. Most of the comments are with the relevant employees names who has given a better service to the guests. Productivity goes up when the staff is stratified with their jobs.
